YMCA Southcoast Spin-a-thon 2019

On Saturday March 23, 2019 participants will ride bikes for one hour to raise funds for the YMCA’s Annual Campaign. Riders of all levels will raise funds and awareness of the important work the Y does in the community. You don’t have to be a cycler or Y member to participate as this event is open to all who are willing to pedal for a purpose. Our motivated instructors will take their team of riders on a stationary journey with fun themes and rockin’ music that will push riders to their limits of fun and excitement.

The Gleason Family YMCA’s event is 8am to 1pm and riders will choose which hour they would like ride. Registration is $10 per rider, which reserves your bike, and can be done at the Welcome Center. Riders are given a minimum fundraising goal of $100 to achieve as a participant and a personal fundraising link will be provided after registration so that you can seek donations and sponsors for your ride. Riders may also use a donation tracking sheet, provided by the Y, for documenting fundraising goals if they do not want to raise funds online.  By raising a minimum of $100 and participating in this event you have the opportunity to show your commitment to your community.

Proceeds from the Spin-a-thon support the Y’s 2019 Annual Campaign, which ensures that ALL children, families, and adults in our community have equal access to life changing Y programs and services. The Y is committed to nurturing the potential of everyone, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility. The Gleason Family YMCA’a goal is to raise funds through participant fundraising, sponsorship, and raffles so that we can ensure that services are within reach of everyone we serve. Sponsorship opportunities are available, please contact Lu Brito for information on how your company can benefit from demonstrating its’ commitment to the YMCA cause in the community.
