A BOATER’S DREAM ...

Dreaming about crystal blue water, a clear sky above, and the wind in your hair?  Surrounded by ocean and packed with marinas, Cape Cod and neighboring areas are a boater’s dream.

Whether you’re looking for a summer getaway or a year round residence, this is the perfect place to make lasting memories. Many who grow up on Cape Cod fondly recall their summers spent on the water in their family boats fishing, riding the waves, or jumping into the chilly waters to cool off. Boating is a major part of life for many and there’s no lack of places to drop anchor.

Marinas can be found everywhere and they offer boaters a place to dock their yachts or small boats. For those new to the boating life, a marina differs from a port in that a marina doesn’t handle large passenger ships or cargo from freighters. This means that surrounding waters remain uncongested and swimmer friendly.

While simply impossible to list them all, here are a few marinas for your consideration.

In the heart of Onset Village is the Onset Town Pier. Recently voted the 2nd best harbor in the country, this is the perfect spot for boating families. Just steps away from Onset Beach, the children have plenty of space to run around and go for a dip. Around the block, Marc Anthony’s Pizzeria offers delicious, easy, and affordable dining with plenty of options for the picky eaters of your group. After a long day on the water, cross the street and settle into Onset’s famous Bandshell which offers live music concerts and movie viewings depending on the night. The perfect way to end your day! Situated in the calm waters of Onset Bay, boaters can rest assured that these protected waters will shelter their boats from the rough seas. A few minutes away is a boat ramp and fuel station, just beyond the Stone Bridge.

Looking for something a little more private? Tucked away just a short walk from Onset Village, Stonebridge Marina is easily accessible from land or sea and offers customers several amenities such as wireless internet, fuel dock, bait, and more. The marina’s onsite restaurant, Stonebridge Bar & Grill, offers indoor and outdoor dining with beautiful views of the water.

In nearby Bourne is Monument Beach Marina, a public marina and boat ramp. Sitting on the beautiful Monument Beach, this marina boasts 61 slips, 35 moorings, a dinghy dock, and a fuel station. Another great place to store or launch your boat from! Amenities include private showers and restrooms for marina customers.

Maxi Marina is located on Cranberry Highway in Buzzards Bay and belongs to Upper Cape! A convenient boat ramp right next to the marina makes getting your boat in the water and docked a breeze! Once you’re in the water, it’s just a short ride away to the Cape Cod Canal. Stop in Captain Al’s after a day of boating. This family-style restaurant offers indoor/outdoor dining and is located right on the beach with fantastic water views of Buttermilk Bay. Upper Cape has 21 boat slips available.
