Cat shelter goes contactless for adoptions

May 18, 2020

ROCHESTER — “It’s All About the Animals,” a volunteer-run cat shelter, is now offering online and contactless adoptions for its cats.

Adoptions will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Volunteers review each application, and those that pass an initial screening will be asked to do a screening over Zoom or the phone.

“We believe it is still important to put a face to the name on the application so we can ensure the safety and well being of our animals,” said Pamela Robinson, who founded and runs the shelter.

Volunteers will not respond to phone calls or Facebook messages regarding an application’s status unless it has previously contacted the applicant. Applicants should use United States mail to send applications to 103 Marion Rd, Rochester MA 02770, or email applications to ohnokitty1@gmail.com.

Applications forms can be found at www.itsallabouttheanimals.org. Click under “adoptions.” Then click on “applications.”
