Children's events at Plumb Library coming this March

ROCHESTER — Join the Plumb Library throughout March for an assortment of children's activities and events. 

Crafty Creators Club. The library is introducing a new club called the Crafty Creators Club. 

Kids ages 6 to 11 years old are welcome to bring their in-progress DIY projects to the Library to meet other crafters and just hang out. 

This is a social meet up for kids working on knitting, crochet, cross stitch and the like. 

Very limited help or instruction is available. Join the library at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday March 11 for the club. No registration required.

Lego Club. Lego Club is for kids ages 6 to 11 years old. 

This is a free-build get-together. Kids can create from a supply of Lego bricks using prompts or their imagination. 

Builds are stored in the Library, so kids can return to their work at the next session. 

Drop in at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 and March 17. No registration is needed.

Winter storytimes. The winter session of storytime continues through March 10 and March 11. Join the library at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays for the baby group which welcomes ages 6 to 24 months old. 

10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays is for families with kids ages 2 to 5 years old. Come for stories, songs and crafts. Registration is required since weekly and space is limited. 

Free play Fridays. Free Play Fridays is a new event beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 6. 

This event is best for kids up to age 5 years old. This event is hosted by Ms. Fuchsia, the children’s librarian. It is located in the downstairs program room.

Other meetings and events. The Knitting Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays on March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. 

The Board of Library Trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12.

Writers Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19.

The Council on Aging Group Bookclub will be hosted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 at the Rochester Council on Aging.

Books and Babble Bookclub is 6:30 p.m. on Thursday Feb. 26 and Thursday, March 26.
