The Rochester Senior Center has scheduled a day trip to New London, Connecticut for Tuesday, Aug. 27 for a “Lights and Sights Cruise.”

The trip will feature a two hour tour on one of two high-speed catamarans. The tour will pass by eight lighthouses, two military forts, one castle, the revived Ocean House Hotel in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, and the historic New London waterfront.

Lunch will be served at Captain Scott’s Lobster Dock. Offerings will include lobster rolls, clam fritters, lobster bisque, steamers, mussels, oysters, fried clams, and scallops.

The day trip will cost $30. The bus will leave the Rochester Senior Center at 8:30 a.m. and return around 5 p.m. Advance sign-up is required.
