MATTAPOISETT — The season was in full swing at the Mattapoisett Lions Club’s Fall Free Family Fun Festival on Oct. 16.
Kids and adults alike enjoyed hayrides, cornhole, face painting and other activities at Shipyard Park.
Kids turned the park’s gazebo into a de facto dance floor, where they showed off their moves (and halloween costumes). For those without a desire to move their feet, there was a small patch of pumpkins which could be collected and painted at kids’ leisure.
Even at the start of the festival, community members came out in dozens to enjoy the season.
“The turnout is already more than expected,” Lions Club member Jonathan Gray said.
