Here’s what’s going on at the Rochester Senior Center in May

ROCHESTER — Now that the Council on Aging has reopened, the senior center is resuming its typical event programming.

The Monthly Bereavement Group with Reverend Larry from Continuum Hospice will be held on Tuesday, May 11 at 11 a.m. Reservations are not required.

On Wednesday, May 12, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. residents can pick up food from the Greater Boston Food Bank.

Food pick-up must be made in person, unless prior arrangements have been made. Call the Rochester Senior Center to apply for this service.

The Rochester COA Board Meeting will be held at Town Hall on Wednesday, May 12 at 9 a.m. This meeting can also be accessed via webinar.

Also on May 12 is the Friends of the Rochester Senior Center meeting at 10:30 a.m. This meeting will be held at the Senior Center and is also accessible via webinar.

The Friends of the Rochester Senior Center are hosting a Beef Tenderloin Supper on Thursday, May 13 at 5:30 p.m. Dine-in or curbside pick-up options are available.

The cost is $12.00 per person, with a limit of 40 meals. Reservations required.

All activities at the Rochester Senior Center are required to comply with covid restrictions.

Face coverings must be worn and social distancing must be observed for those outside of a single household.

Those feeling unwell must stay at home.

A Covid Waiver for each person must be on file at the Rochester Senior Center prior to participation in any senior center activities.

The center provides free transportation for Rochester residents. Call for a ride at least 24 hours in advance so the COA can schedule a driver.

Advance notice ensures that a driver is available.
