Mattapoisett Women's Club meets Sept. 19

Aug 30, 2013

The Mattapoisett Women’s Club will hold its first meeting of the 2013-2014 season Thursday, Sept. 19 with a welcome back luncheon. President Eileen Marum will give an overview of summer activities and unveil programs for the coming year.

For the year, program co-directors Barbara Brown and Judy Kennedy scheduled events that will provide information on an Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, the hunting habits of a North American raptor, and the research of a Rutgers University professor studying changing weather patterns, who has also circumnavigated the world in a sailboat.

The women’s club welcomes new members. It offers a variety of interest groups that discuss gardening, literature, foreign policy, and more.

The Mattapoisett Women’s Club meets the third Thursday of the month beginning Sept. 19 at noon in the Mattapoisett Congregation Church, located at 27 Church St. For more information, call Bobbi Ketchel 508-758-9593, Eileen Marum 508-748-1282, or Lee Yeaton 508-758-641.
