Ned's Point Lighthouse tours soon return

MATTAPOISETT — Ned’s Point Lighthouse is soon opening for the summer season, with tours from June through October. 

The lighthouse will open Saturday, June 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July tours will be held on the first from 3-7 p.m. and the 11th and 18th from 8 a.m. to noon. 

It will be open Aug. 1 from 8 to noon, and Aug. 5, 12 and 26 from 3-7 p.m.

Tours will run from 3-7 p.m. on Sept. 2 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19. The final day will be Oct. 1 from 2-6 p.m.

All tour dates are subject to change according to the weather or at the discretion of the light keeper. No flip flops or loose clothing are allowed, and children under 13 must be at least 48 inches tall and accompanied by an adult. All tours will be led by light keeper Sal Giglia.
