MARION — The Elizabeth Taber Library invites guests to the fourth annual “Tables of Content” dinner and book discussion fundraiser.

On two nights, Sunday, May 7 and Friday, May 19, friends of the Library will host dinners in their homes. Participants won’t know the location of their dinner until one week prior. Each guest can choose two books in order or preference from the “Tables of Content” list. They will be assigned to read one of those books. Then gather around the table for an evening of food, libations, laughter and conversation about the assigned books.

The book list for Sunday, May 7 includes: “Horse” by Geraldine Brooks, “Travels With George: In Search of Washington and his Legacy” by Nathaniel Philbrick, “Metropolis” by B. A. Shapiro and “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus.

The book list for Friday, May 19 includes: “Our Missing Hearts” by Celeste Ng, “Feather Thief” by Kirk Wallace Johnson, “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus, “Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup” by John Carreyrou and “Horse” by Geraldine Brooks.

Choose a book and sign up early to reserve a place at the table. Tickets are $75 per person. The registration deadline is March 17.

Registration forms are available at the Library or online at www.elizabethtaberlibrary.org.

Mail or deliver a check and registration form to the library, 8 Spring Street, Marion. Include any dietary restrictions with the registration.
