St. Gabriel’s Church of Marion to hold Advent events
MARION — As the Christmas season approaches, St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church of Marion has a full slate of Advent events to keep you in the holiday spirit.
Every Wednesday during Advent, the church will hold a 6 pm rooted service in church and a 7 pm faith forum series titled “Living well through Advent” in the parish hall.
On Dec. 3, the Sippican Choral Society will visit the church for a Christmas concert at 8 pm.
On Dec. 10, Tom Lopes will present “The Accidental Jesus: A Film-Clip Essay” at 7 pm.
On Dec. 17, the congregation will go Christmas caroling on Joanne Drive in Marion at 6:30 pm.
On Dec. 22, the church will host the “Longest Night Service” at 6 pm.
On Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, the church will hold a family service featuring a pageant at 4pm and candlelight service at 9 pm.
On Christmas, Dec. 25, the church will hold a festive worship service in the chapel at 9am.
Finally, on Jan. 2, the church will wrap up its Advent celebration with Christmas lessons and carols services.
