Tri-town football, boys soccer push forward in playoffs
Old Rochester Regional High School and Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School varsity teams qualified and continue to compete in the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association’s boys football and soccer teams are left in the tournaments this fall.
The Old Rochester girls volleyball team was knocked out by Lynnfield High School in the Elite 8. Old Rochester’s girls soccer team was defeated by Lynnfield High School in the round of 32. Old Colony girls soccer was knocked out by Saint John Paull II High School in the round of 32.
Old Rochester football
Old Rochester, ranked number 13 in their league, knocked out number 4 ranked Wilmington High School Nov. 7 in 3 overtimes.
The Old Rochester football team’s next game is an away game Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. against Hudson High School which will be the Elite 8 tournament round.
Old Colony football
Old Colony varsity football went 4-4 this season and is ranked 23 in MIAA’s Division 8 league. They have not competed against any teams yet in the tournament.
The football team will face off against Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 3 p.m. in a home game.
Old Rochester boys soccer
Old Rochester varsity boys soccer, ranked number 7 in the Division 3 league, knocked out number 10 ranked North Reading High School Nov. 8.
Their next game is Wednesday, Nov. 12 at home at 6:15 p.m which will be the Elite 8 round.
