Officials seek feedback on Rte. 6

Dec 9, 2019

Officials are seeking feedback on Route 6 ahead of potential improvements at two public meetings.

The Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District is wrapping up a study of the section of Rte. 6 stretching from High Street in Wareham to Rte. 240 in Fairhaven.

Included in that approximately 13 mile long section are six signalized intersections and many businesses, homes, and institutions.

The agency will be hosting a meeting to present traffic analysis and potential improvements and to receive feedback from those who use the road.

The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, at the Sippican Elementary School at 16 Spring St. in Marion.

The location is accessible to people with disabilities and is on the GATRA Wareham-New Bedford Connection’s route.
