Cecile Muriel Fairing Miller, 88, passed from this mortal world to be with Jesus on November 13, 2017. Waiting to welcome her in Heaven is her husband and our dad Francis "Bud" Miller, who's been watching over her since 1994.

Our mother was born in New Jersey and was raised in Milton, Massachusetts eventually moving with her family to the quaint town of Marion on Sippican Harbor.  She spent her summers there and attended Tabor Academy Summer School, where she learned to love sailing. Mother became a registered nurse and served as a 1st Lieutenant in the Air Force during the Korean War.  Her generous spirit allowed her to touch and change many lives and she spent countless hours counseling those who sought her wisdom and guidance. She was also involved in The Fresh Air Fund and Coalition for the Homeless, two organizations she held dear.

Mom was the daughter of William Henry Fairing and Marion Cecil Helger Fairing and was predeceased by her brother, William Henry Fairing, Jr. She is survived by her four children and four grandchildren. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery.
