Hawthorn Medical offers scholarships to future med students

In an effort to promote and encourage academic preparation in the field of health care, Hawthorn Medical Associates is offering scholarships for public high school seniors who will be pursuing education in the health care field.

A $3,000 scholarship will be awarded to a senior at each of the following high schools: Apponequet Regional High School, Dartmouth High School, Fairhaven High School, Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, New Bedford High School, Old Rochester Regional High School, and Westport High School.

In addition, Hawthorn Medical will offer the William Holliday III, MD, Memorial Scholarship to a student at Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School.

Eligible students should be accepted into an accredited program in nursing; pre-med; radiological technology; laboratory sciences; occupational therapy; pharmacy; physical therapy; respiratory therapy; certified medical assistant; or other health related fields.
