The Greater New Bedford Garden Club is accepting applications for the $1,500 Rose L. Murphy Scholarship, intended for students pursuing environmental or horticulture-based majors.

The scholarship will be awarded to a student who will be enrolled in a full-time college program in 2018-19  The applicant must be pursuing a degree either in environmental sciences, horticulture, landscape architecture, conservation, or  a related scientific field.

Students are required to have been a legal Massachusetts resident for at least one year prior to high school graduation.

Application forms and requirements are available in the Old Rochester Regional High School guidance office.
