Pair charged in Rochester home invasion
Two Wareham men have been charged in a Rochester home invasion.
The Rochester Police were called to a home at the 200 block of Ryder Road for a reported disturbance early July 29. On the way, police received a second call reporting a resident of the home had been chased out by a number of suspects.
Police say the victims told officers a party had been at the home while the parents were away and things got out of hand after more people showed up uninvited after hearing about the party from Facebook.
Darien R. Barrows, 17, of Wareham was arrested and charged with home invasion. Police say they also obtained an arrest warrant for McKinley Ward Jr., 18, of Minot Ave. in Wareham on charges of home invasion and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. According to the release, Ward turned himself in at the Wareham District Court.
Police say the are still looking for two males connected with this incident and that it could be linked to three other parties crashed by uninvited guests resulting in disturbances and property thefts.
Anyone with information about the party and the people there are asked to contact Rochester Police at (508) 763-5112.
