Celebrate Earth Day at the Gleason Family YMCA with a Free, Fun & Educational Event!

[Wareham, MA] — The Gleason Family YMCA is excited to invite the community to a free and engaging Earth Day celebration on Tuesday, April 22nd from 10am to 12pm. This special event brings together numerous environmental organizations to provide fun, hands-on learning experiences for all ages. Participating organizations: Wareham Recycling, Buzzard Bay Coalition Onset Bay Center, Wildlands Trust, Manomet Conservation Services, National Marine Life Center, Wareham Land Trust, The Trustees, Mass Fish & Wildlife, Myles Standish State Forest, 4H, the Marion Institutes Frogfoot Farm, New England Coastal Wildlife Association, and Wareham Dept. of Natural Resources. 

Families, children, and individuals of all backgrounds are encouraged to join in the festivities, which will feature interactive exhibits, educational activities, and inspiring demonstrations focused on environmental sustainability, conservation, and community action.

“We’re thrilled to host an event that not only celebrates Earth Day but also encourages our community to take meaningful steps toward a greener future,” said Debbie Fringuelli, interim YMCA Southcoast CEO. “With the participation of so many incredible environmental organizations, attendees will have the opportunity to learn, connect, and take action for our planet.”

Event highlights include:

• Live demonstrations on sustainability and conservation
• Interactive booths from local environmental groups
• Fun, hands-on activities for kids and families
• Recycling and upcycling tips to reduce waste
• Opportunities to learn about local green initiatives
