Land Trust Summer Passport and More!

Posted July 6, 2020

Here at The Wareham Land Trust, we value the health and well-being of our community, and we have made the difficult decision to not schedule any programs until it is safe to do so; however, we are continually developing alternative programming options and content including blogsFacebook and Instagram posts, and YouTube videos.

On July 1st, we launched our Summer Passport Program! This program offers kid-friendly activities to encourage participants to spend time outside and interact with Wareham’s green spaces! This passport was created for children of all ages. Download the PDF here! Visit our Resources page for more information.

In addition to the Summer Passport Program, in the past week, we have posted

  • Trees of Wareham field guide on our Resources page
  • Call for volunteers for our upcoming SOCIALLY DISTANCED trail work days
  • A Naturalist’s Corner blog about mute swans
  • DIY Walking Sticks craft
  • Property Spotlight blog featuring Great Neck Wildlife Sanctuary
  • A blog about Mike’s chase to find a mega-rare bird in Rhode Island
  • 5-minute meditation: A mindfulness practice
  • A virtual storytime in partnership with the Wareham Free Library
  • Several photos of local flora, fauna, and landscapes

Check out these posts and many more, and let us know what you think!

  • *Please remember that during this time of concern about the spread of COVID-19, it is critical to limit your contact with others and practice good hygiene. As a reminder, our trails remain open for your use, and we encourage you to get outside and into nature as much as possible in the coming weeks.*
