Join the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries on Thursday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m. to hear local historian and lecturer Christopher Daley discuss the assassination of Abraham Lincoln – the plot, the events of that tragic day, the escape and capture of John Wilkes Booth, as well as the final fate of the conspirators. Mr. Daley’s presentation will be held at Dartmouth North Branch Library.
Christopher Daley has been lecturing on historical topics of interest for over 25 years. In the past, the Friends have hosted two popular presentations on Irish history and the Roaring ‘20s with Mr. Daley. Currently a teacher in the Silver Lake Regional School System, Mr. Daley has been involved in several historical organizations including the Pembroke Historical Society and Historical Commission and the John Alden House historical site in Duxbury.
