Scams Jeopardy!

Join the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries on Tuesday, May 20, at 2 p.m. for an interactive Jeopardy-inspired game offered by the New Bedford Local Consumer Program. Audience members will compete for prizes while learning about scams, consumer rights, landlord-tenant law, and how to avoid real financial jeopardy. The program will be held at Dartmouth North Branch Library.
The New Bedford Local Consumer Program (LCP) operates out of the City’s Department of Community Services. Funded by and working in cooperation with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General, the LCP provides free information and consumer assistance to area residents. The LCP helps consumers resolve problems with businesses, defective products, car sales, debt collection, home improvement contracts, identity theft, mortgage servicing, telemarketing scams, utility bills, and more.
Scams Jeopardy! is free and open to the public and will be held at the Dartmouth North Branch Library, 211 Cross Road, Dartmouth. For more information, please e-mail fodl.libraries@gmail.com.
