Southcoast VNA to hold 6th annual Hope Takes Flight event to honor memory of loved ones who have passed away
FAIRHAVEN, Mass. – Southcoast Health announced today that the Visiting Nurse Association, known in the community as Southcoast VNA, will host its sixth annual Hope Takes Flight on Sunday, September 10 at 11 a.m. at Rachel’s Lakeside in Dartmouth. All proceeds from the event will benefit Southcoast VNA’s Supportive Care Services, which includes, palliative care, hospice, grief support and a host of other community-based services, many provided at no cost.
This year’s event features a brunch with complimentary mimosa in addition to a live butterfly release to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away. Entertainment for the event will be provided by Concordia Choir and Andrea DeVeau. The ceremony will include a special recognition of Susan Bliss, Supportive Care Team Member; Adelia Cardoza, Supportive Care Volunteer; and the Fairhaven Council on Aging. A silent auction, prize raffle and wine pull raffle will also be held.

Ticket prices are $45 for adults and $20 for children under 12 and includes the name(s) of loved ones who have died printed in the event program book if purchased by September 1. All attendees will also receive a commemorative gift to take home. The event is presented by Mallard Printing and BayCoast Bank.
