The Mattapoisett Women’s club  will host the 16 annual “Taste of Mattapoisett” on Tuesday, July 16 as part of Mattapoisett Harbor Days at the Town Wharf, featuring food from local restaurants and live music provided by performers. 

Turk’s Seafood, Oxford Creamery, Tastebuds Bistro, Ying Dynasty, Mattapoisett Diner, Nick’s Homemade Pizza House, The Inn on Shipyard Park, Uncle Jon’s Coffees, Shipyard Galley, The Walrus and Captain and On the Go will all serve food at the event. 

The Showstoppers Performance Troupe will provide entertainment. The troupe consists of students from local schools from grades two through twelve.

Free transportation will be provided from the St. Anthony Church or Town Beach parking lots from 4:15 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Food items will be exchanged for tickets. The cost will be $10 for 20 tickets. Beverages will cost two tickets, and the most expensive food items like lobster rolls and shrimp will cost ten tickets.

All proceeds will go to the Mattapoisett Women’s Club Scholarship Fund. For over 60 years, The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club has helped young people in their educational pursuits. This year, the club awarded scholarships to Julia Cabral and Rosemary Loer. Both students are from Old Rochester Regional High School.
