MATTAPOISETT — Dig into understanding dogs’ needs at a Dog and Kids Safety Seminar at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library on Sunday, April 13 at 2 p.m.

The event is led by OutHounds Adventure and Training Academy and the Mattapoisett Land Trust and will help participants understand their canine companions better.

Attendees will learn dog body language cues and how to safely interact and approach the animals.

Following the seminar, the land trust and OutHounds Adventure will host an Adventure Hike on Friday, April 25 at Grace Pond. Participants will get the chance to practice their new skills with their own dog or dogs that will be provided by the hosts.

Both events are free and no registration is required.
