MARION — Live entertainment is on its way to Ansel’s Cafe.

The Marion Select Board approved a provisional entertainment license for the cafe on County Road at a Sept. 8 meeting.

Cafe owner Elizabeth Carter said the entertainment will be “a little extra something to bring in customers for our evening events we plan to do.”

The license was granted for a 90-day trial period, after which it will appear again before the board for long-term approval.

“I was worried that you might be scared because we just got our liquor license,” Carter said to the board, adding that seating at the cafe is far away from any of the business’ neighbors.
