April happenings at the Rochester Senior Center

ROCHESTER — As the Council on Aging begins to reopen, the senior center will begin resuming its typical event programming.

Starting in April, patrons can look forward to Coffee and Conversation on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-11 a.m., Scrabble from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesdays, and Stepping and Stretching on Mondays and Thursdays from 2-3 p.m.

The Busy Bees will meet on Thursdays from 9-11:30 a.m, and French Culture and Conversation will be held on Thursdays at 10 a.m.

There will be line dancing Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:30 a.m., and chair yoga will be held Fridays at 12 p.m.

BINGO will be held on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. Blood Pressure and Wellness Clinics will be held on Mondays from 10:30-12:30 p.m.

In addition, congregate lunches provided by Coastline Elderly Services will be served on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The Podiatrist will return to the Rochester senior center on Thursday, April 1st. Appointments can be made by calling the Podiatrist’s office directly at 508-946-1444.

Daily breakfast at the Council on Aging is expected to return in May, as the senior center cleans up the kitchen and brings in a new refrigerator and freezer.

Participants in the council’s programming should have a covid waiver on file, which can be obtained from the front desk. Masks and social distancing will be required for all activities held at the senior center.
