The Marion Art Center will host a series of workshops titled “The Actor Prepares”.

Under the direction of Rex McGraw, Ph.D. theater arts, the workshops for adults will run on Tuesday, Oct. 20, Tuesday, Oct. 27 and Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Using text from scripts, McGraw will teach participants how to prepare a role through a series of exercises that show how to develop a character.

Experienced and novice actors are invited to participate in one or all of the sessions, which are free and open to the public.
