Dear Marion Voters: 

The League of Women Voters reminds town residents that Marion will hold a Candidates Night Thursday May 2 at 7 p.m. in the Music Hall. Here is your best chance to learn about why the candidates are running, what their aspirations are if elected, and how they feel about local government. All candidates, both contested and running unopposed, will be making brief presentations and responding to questions from voters. 

Candidates Night is also an excellent night to consider the various opportunities to become more involved in your community. By hearing those who are stepping up to serve, you may consider volunteering yourself as openings arise throughout the year. 

Town Meeting will be held Monday May 13 at 6:45 p.m. at Sippican School. Town Elections will be held Friday May 17 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Community Center on Route 6.
