Bike Friendly Mattapoisett gears up for spring cycling

Feb 24, 2014

National Bike Month is just two months away, but cyclists can be active now about creating better biking conditions around town. On March 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mattapoisett Library, Bike Friendly Mattapoisett will hold another meeting.

There will be new reports from the Feb. 25 meeting with the state, a sign up for the Tri-Town Bike Riding Club, information about the MassBike Challenge as well as the unveiling of Bike Friendly Mattapoisett’s new website and Facebook pages. The official launch of "Bike Friendly Business" program is also coming up.

The "Bike Friendly Business" program is about expanding the network of biking/bike path supporters in town and creating incentives for people to transform their support for biking and the bike path into active involvement. Participating and volunteering is important. Walkers, joggers, and riders as well as parents and grandparents of walkers and riders can get involved.
