The Buzzards Bay Coalition invites golfers to help the local environment with a golfing event at The Bay Club in Mattapoisett on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

The Buzzards Bay Coalition’s Golf Outing has limited space, so early registration is encouraged. Golfers may register as individuals or as a foursome. Registration includes 18 holes of golf in a “bramble” style tournament, greens fees, cart, lunch, tournament gift, contests and awards. The golfing will be followed by a cocktail party and auction with live music, hors d’oeuvres and open bar at 5 p.m.

Tickets are $250 for individuals and $1,000 foursome. Funds raised support clean water in New Bedford Harbor.

Sharpen your kitchen skills with PBS chef, international culinary tour guide and journalist Annie B. Copps, PBS chef.

In this 90-minute master class, Copps will share her lively stories and culinary secrets while preparing locally-sourced seasonal specialties to taste at the event and recreate at home. The event begins at 3 p.m. Tickets are $50 and include an invitation to the cocktail party and auction. Tickets for cocktail party and auction only are available for $35.
