CANCELED: Rochester Historical Society to meet March 15
This event has been canceled.
The Rochester Historical Society’s next meeting is March 15 at 7 p.m at the East Rochester Church/Museum, located at 355 County Road.
The owners of Hayden Manufacturing Company in West Warhead, David and Raymond St. Jacques, will be the speakers.
The Hayden Manufacturing Company has been in the cranberry industry since 1892 and has been family owned since 1927.
The Hayden separator, which revolutionized the cranberry industry, was invented by Linthrop Hayden of South Carver, who originally established the company.
The St. Jacques, grandsons of Hayden, now own the company and have expanded its services by establishing an antiques store at the Carver Road, West Wareham building.
All are welcome to attend and learn about the history of this local industry.
