A man accidentally overturned his car into a deep ditch on the edge of a Decas bog Monday afternoon.

According to a police officer on the scene, the driver said he had permission to be on the property, located on Clapp Road, to install a deer stand.

Driving down a narrow bog road, however, he got too close to the edge and the car slowly tipped into a hole. The man was able to exit the car through the passenger door and appeared to be uninjured.

Mike Murphy of Murphy's Auto said he got a call from AAA and then Rochester authorities. His crew extracted the car.

The driver declined to comment.

Rochester Police, Fire and EMS responded to the scene.
