Cat in the Hat helps Mattapoisett Library celebrate 5th birthday

True to form, the Cat in the Hat was a jokester – attempting to connect one kids freckles with a pen. BY GEORGIA SPARLING
The Cat in the Hat made an appearance at the Mattapoisett Library on Saturday as part of the fifth birthday celebration commemorating the expansion of the library.
The cheeky, hatted feline joked around with kids, balanced his umbrella on his palm and did a purrrr-fect reading of Dr. Seuss' "Green Eggs and Ham" and, of course, "The Cat in the Hat."
Organized by Friends of the Library board member Jessica Noblet, the event finished up with birthday cake.
