After a long winter and dreary spring, summer is finally here. To celebrate, the Marion Recreation Department will host Silvershell Beach Opening Day on Saturday, June 21.

The beach opens at 9 a.m. From noon to 2 p.m free hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available courtesy of the Recreation Department.
