Chamber music group to play music throughout history

Music from Land’s End, a series of chamber music concerts with internationally acclaimed artists, will hold a concert in August.
The program will include music from before Bach to the present, with works by J.S. Bach’s uncle Johann Christoph Bach and composers George Frederic Handel, Henry Purcell and Franz Tunder, and contemporary composer Sebastian Gottschick.
The performers will include special guests Sherezade Panthaki, soprano, Jay Carter, countertenor, Emi Ferguson, flute, Susanna Ogata, violin, Nathan Whittaker, cello, Martha McGaughey, viola da gamba and Arthur Haas, harpsichord.
On Saturday, August 10, the group will perform at St. Gabriel’s Church in Marion, 124 Front Street at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, August 11, the group will perform at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Wareham, 74 High Street at 5 p.m.
Entrance is by donation, with open seating. Music from Land’s End is supported in 2024 by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and by private contributors and audience members.
