American Civil War historian Mark Mello will speak during the Rochester Historical Society’s May 20 meeting in the East Rochester Church museum, located at 355 County Road.

Mello will describe the experiences soldiers in the Civil War starting at 7 p.m. Antique weaponry, tools, equipment, currency and artifacts from the time period will be displayed. Learn about the daily struggles that the average soldier would have faced.
