Apr 12, 2022

MATTAPOISETT — With gardening season approaching, the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club is selling a passport booklet, “Pathway to Planting,’’ which will offer discounts at garden-related shops for passport holders. A few of the shops also offer discounts on flower arrangements.

The $10 passport provides discounts at: Always in Bloom Flower & Gift Shoppe in Marion, Crystal Lake Garden Shop in Plymouth and Carver, Eden Florist & Garden Shop in Marion, Great Scapes Nursery in Mattapoisett, Lawrence Family Greenhouses in New Bedford, Nessralla’s Farm and Greenhouses in Wareham, Roseland Nursery in Acushnet, Williams’ Trading Post in Middleboro and TomCat Daylily Farm in Mattapoisett for July only.

Most of the merchants will honor discounts from May 12-22, but there are a couple of exceptions. See the passport for details.

The passports are available for purchase at Pen & Pendulum in Mattapoisett, the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club Tag Sale on April 30 in the parking lot between Ying Dynasty and Jack’s Kitchen on Route 6, and from the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club on their website and Facebook Page, or by emailing info@mattapoisettwomansclub.org

Proceeds provide funding for scholarships awarded annually to Mattapoisett students, with two scholarships for graduating seniors and one for continuing education.

The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club is always open to new members who reside in a south coast community. For more information and a membership application, visit www.mattapoisettwomansclub.org/members/.
