Comments sought for new electricity program
The town of Mattapoisett is seeking approval from the Department of Public Utilities to join with a number of other towns across the state in an electricity aggregation program that will provide residents and businesses with the option of a reduced rate.
The town has retained Good Energy as its agent in these proceedings.
A public hearing with the DPU will take place at its Boston office, One South Station, 5th Floor, on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. Those unable to attend the meeting may submit comments to the department. They must be received by Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 5 p.m.
An original hard copy of all written comments must be filed with Mark D. Marini, Secretary, Department of Public Utilities, One South Station, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02110. A copy must also be sent to Jonathan Goldberg, Hearing Officer at the DPU. Finally, one copy of all written comments should be sent to the attorney for Good Energy, Scott J. Mueller, Esq., Scott J. Mueller Law Office, 12 Bulkley Rd., Sudbury, MA 01776.
