Concert, coffee, cupcakes and a raffle

The Tri-County Symphonic Band  will present its seventeenth annual Pops Benefit Concert, with a theme of “The Fabulous Fifties,” on June 9.

The concert will be held in a tent by Sippican Harbor (at 235 Front Street), and will include light food and cupcakes from On The Go Catering.  The concert will feature will include music that concertgoers don't necessarily associate with the 1950's, but has become firmly ensconced in musical culture.

The concert will also include a raffle, with tickets selling for $20, and seven items worth much more than that up for raffle. The grand prize is $1,000, with other options to win a $750 quilt, four Red Sox tickets for a June 13 game against the Texas Rangers, two season tickets for the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, a wine selection, and tickets to the Cape Cod symphony orchestra.  

A social hour and the raffle will be held at 1 p.m. and the concert (with cupcakes and coffee) will begin at 2 p.m. Proceeds from the concert and raffle will go to a scholarship fund.
