The Rochester Police Department and Police Exam Solutions will hold an entrance exam for prospective officers on Feb. 1.

The deadline for registration is midnight on Thursday, Jan. 30. All registrations must be done online at www.policeexamsolutions.com. The next exam will be held in two years.

The department employs 10 full-time officers, five part-time officers and a number of reserve officers. The entrance exam will fill part-time openings now and full-time positions in the future.

Due to the department’s small size officers may handle cases from start to finish. This allows officers the opportunity to participate in investigations, write and serve warrants and make arrests as a result of their own work.
