Discover ‘secret and magnificent’ holiday homes with Sippican Woman’s Club tour

MARION — The holiday house tour held annually by the Sippican Woman’s Club will be Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The 34th annual tour, “Holiday by the Sea,” begins at Handy’s Tavern, 152 Front St. Tour maps with home reveal will be available there starting at 9:45 a.m. The tour will proceed to several local homes selected for special historical or architectural interest.
There’s then a pause for tea with the hospitality of the Sippican Woman’s Club “Sugarplum Tea” held at Tabor Academy’s Great Room from 2 to 4 p.m.
The day ends at Beverly Yacht Club from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Homes are open to viewing from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Come discover these secret and magnificent homes in our seaside village, decked in festive holiday décor by generous homeowners and local designers,” material from the Sippican Woman’s Club said. “Be inspired for the season ahead!”
The holiday house tour is the club’s principal fundraising activity. Proceeds go toward Marion students and organizations serving the Marion community.
Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Tickets are available online or at the Marion General Store, Mimi’s in Marion and Isabelle’s in Mattapoisett.
