Sep 14, 2012
Originally thought to be a multi-day project, the Board of Health announced that Plymouth County Mosquito Control was able to complete all of the ground spraying in Mattapoisett on Friday, September 14.
The spraying was in response to the Board of Health’s discovery on Friday, September 7 of mosquitoes carrying Eastern Equine Encephalitis.
Official wish to inform residents that the chemicals used in the spraying will not harm pets or farm animals. Continued testing and monitoring of mosquito wells is planned for next week.
