MARION — The Elizabeth Taber Library will host a mix of regular and holiday programming in December.

The library will host two book groups in December. On Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. the Mystery Book Group will meet to discuss Linwood Barclay’s thriller, “No Time for Goodbye.” The Tuesday Morning Book Group will discuss “An American Marriage” by Tayari Jones on Dec. 18, also at 11 a.m.

The library will also host two holiday-related events, including their Annual Cookie Swap on Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. Event organizers ask participants to bring a dozen or so cookies, and promise coffee, good company and the chance to sample a few cookies.

On Dec. 14 and 21 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. the library will also hold holiday gift wrapping sessions to help patrons prepare for the holidays.

The Marion library will also hold two of its regular adult events in December. Its Knitting Group will continue to meet Mondays at 11 a.m., and its Scrabble Club will meet Tuesdays at 11 a.m.

In children’s programming, the Lego club will hold its last session of the year on Dec. 11 at 3 p.m.
