Elizabeth Taber Library October events

Sep 21, 2021

MARION — From artistic opportunities to petting zoos, the Elizabeth Taber Library has events for all this fall.

Celebrating diversity through art. The library is running an art gallery in collaboration with Tri-Town Against Racism. Artists can pick up a free canvas at the library throughout September and October, and create a work representative of heritage or experiences growing up in the Tri-Town. The pieces will be displayed in the library’s pop-up gallery throughout the fall. Free art supplies will be available at the library every Thursday evening.

The alpacas are coming back. On Oct. 8 at 4 p.m., the library will host Pine Meadows Children’s zoo. The petting zoo will focus on how animals and people can work together.

Fall storytime. At 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays through October, the library will host outdoor storytimes for kids.

Searching for an artist of the month. The library is looking for artists of all mediums to be featured as the artist of the month. Interested artists can contact the library director at esherry@sailsinc.org or call the library for more information.
