Elizabeth Taber Library September events

Sep 14, 2021

MARION — Play lawn games, say goodbye to Octolini and more at the Elizabeth Taber Library this month.

With the start of school comes the start of After School Outside, where kids can come to the library from 2:30 to 4 p.m. after school to play lawn games, sports and participate in other outdoor activities.

Fall storytime is at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays in front of the library, weather permitting, through October. All ages are welcome.

After 20 years of service to the Elizabeth Taber Library, Octolini, the mascot that hangs from the library’s ceiling, will retire at the end of the month. Visit the library to take a Polaroid photo with her before she goes.

The library’s September craft is a take-and-make paper cutting art piece. The craft includes a stock card with a pre-printed template, cutting tool and instructions. The craft can be picked up at the library while supplies last.
