Events for kids at Mattapoisett Library
The Children's Department at the Mattapoisett Library has the following programs coming up.
Read to Breton
Breton, a registered therapy dog, visits library on the second and fourth Saturday of each month and provides children can read aloud to a calm, quiet listening dog.
Get help on homework
Old Rochester Regional High School Student Jack Cadden will help kids in grades kindergarten through eight with their homework – math, science, social studies, English and spelling – on Wednesday. Dec. 14, from 3:30-5 p.m.
Story hour
Buzzard's Bay Speech Therapy will provide a special story hour on Thursday, Dec. 8 for ages ages 2-5. An adult must accompany the kids.
Post holiday movie
There will be a movie day on Wednesday, Dec 28 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. The movie title has not been announced yet.
Checkmate
The Chess Club meets every Wednesday night from 6:30-7:30 p.m. with Jim Kegle.
Storytimes
Winter storytimes will begin Jan. 3 for 2 year olds and 3-5 year old preschoolers. Visit the library for more information.
