Selectmen have appointed Kevin Geraghty and Paul Amoruso to the town’s Finance Committee, while accepting the resignation of Judy Mooney.

“She taught us all a lot,” said Selectman Jordan Collyer.

Town Administrator Mike Gagne said the town was lucky to have Mooney on the committee, which helps create the budget each year.

At a recent meeting with Selectmen, Geraghty and Amoruso discussed their reasons for seeking seats on the committee.

Geraghty is a relative newcomer to town who served as a selectman in Sutton.

“I’m always interested in volunteering and helping out. I thought it would be a good way to get involved in the town in a constructive way,” said Geraghty.

Amoruso, a longtime resident, said, “Big budgets and things like that are things I’m used to. I’m interested in contributing to the town.”
