MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Fire Department responded to reports of a garage fire on Chapel Road Saturday night, and knocked down the fire in the building.

There were initial reports that two fuel tanks were in the building when units arrived at 12 Chapel Rd. around 6:44 p.m. There are no reports of injuries at this time and the fire was knocked down around 7:05.
