Frank Gouveia, 76, of South Dartmouth died Friday, Dec. 4, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Muriel J. (Boudreau) Gouveia. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Manuel and Conceicao (Quintal) Gouveia. Mr. Gouveia was the owner/operator of Gouveias's Backhoe Service, Acushnet.

Including his wife, survivors include four daughters: Jeanette Gouveia-Lawrence and her husband Gerry of Acushnet, Robin Simoes and her husband David of Westport, Michelle Pozza and her husband Victor of Bourne and Rhonda J. Roberts and her husband Wyatt of Florence, Mississippi; a brother: Alfred Gouveia of Wareham; three sisters: Alice Fortuna of New Jersey, Georgianna Amancio of Dartmouth and Rozalina Sabino of Marion; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
