All are invited to join the Friends of the Mattapoisett Library's annual meeting at Library on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. The Friends will discuss what they've been up to over the past year. It's also an opportunity to become a member or to renew a membership.

After the business meeting, at 2 p.m., actor Stephen Collins will portray William Shakespeare. Collins makes Shakespeare's words come alive – from the evil machinations of Richard III, to the philosophical bantering of Falstaff, to the oratory of Brutus and Antony – Shakespeare's tragedies, comedies, histories and sonnets are all represented.
